2008 National Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Award
DiGiacomo Homes & Renovation, Inc. was honored with an Honorable Mention for the “National Designing and Building with FSC Award.” Three awards are issued nationwide – one overall winner, one honorable mention for residential construction, and one honorable mention for commercial construction. DiGiacomo Homes & Renovation President, Rocky DiGiacomo, traveled to Boston in November 2008 to receive the award in a ceremony that was held in conjunction with the National Green Build Conference. The project – a new, custom home designed and built by DiGiacomo for clients in Golden Valley, MN – was selected as an award winner because it utilized nearly 100% FSC certified wood for framing lumber, cabinets and millwork and because of the work DiGiacomo Homes & Renovation staff did to educate suppliers and the public about FSC and its mission.
