Draft a "wish" list - Don't hold back - have a little fun. Start with the space you've been dreaming about and describe what it will look like (Does it have a farmhouse sink? A walk-in master shower? An outdoor grill/prep area for entertaining?)

Next, describe the feeling each space should have as well as the activities that will occur there. We will use this list during the design process to incorporate artful details and unique features that speak to your lifestyle and tastes.

Draft a "priorities" list - Describe the indispensable reasons for remodeling or building new (Is it to increase storage and countertop space in the kitchen? Add more bedrooms for the kids?) We will use this list of priorities to create a footprint for your space and to design functional space.

Collect photos of spaces you like - Compile magazine images, snapshots, anything you can find that reflects the architectural style, color, or mood of each space you envision. We will use these to reinforce and clarify your wish list and priorities list.

Agree on a budget - Spend time discussing your budget.  Budgets should reflect available funds, neighborhood property values and your spending comfort level.  Having brought many projects from design to completion, we can help determine how best to reach your goals and invest in your home.

During the consult we will visit your home and together review your wish list, photos, budget and goals for a remodel or new home. From there we will prepare an initial design sketch and construction estimate.
