Company President Rocky DiGiacomo says of the project: “The real challenge was to create a space that feels like a complete escape” from the suburban, backyard setting. The editors of Green Builder Magazine featured DiGiacomo Homes & Renovation as one of two national award winners in a December article titled “Wood Winners: The Forest Stewardship Council-US Awards Program Highlights Single-Family Custom-Built Homes That Use Wood Responsibly.” DiGiacomo Homes & Renovation President Rocky DiGiacomo traveled to Boston in November to accept the FSC award. The award was issued to honor DiGiacomo’s use of FSC certified wood for nearly 100% of all wood lumber, trim, flooring and cabinetry in one of its 2008 custom-built homes.
